At WELL we pride ourselves in the range and expertise offered via our services. WELL has been delivering expert services to our customers for over 30 years to leverage our specialist logistics and supply chain processes.
Worldwide Energy Logistics Limited is known and respected in the logistics world. We have a proven track record in chartering aircraft and vessels and through an extensive network or owners and brokers have the ability to quickly locate the most suitable vessel or aircraft for your project.
Vessel chartering has always been one of our focal points and we have had considerable success in the movement of pipes for oil & gas projects as well as out of gauge and heavy lift items for the energy sector.
We are completely solution focused and ensure that all pre-carriage, design of sea fastenings, loading and lashing are fully catered for. Unrivalled knowledge of routes and destination capabilities such as port congestion, direct discharge possibilities or mid stream discharge are all good reasons for choosing WELL.
For aircraft charters we have first class relations with the aircraft owners and can position aircraft in the shortest possible time. In our pictorial section [LINK] you will see urgent consignments being moved across the world on various aircraft including Antonov 124’s and Boeing 747 Freighters. Our experience in this sector includes many different types of goods including class 1.1D explosives.
As with the ocean charters, we do not leave anything to chance and take full control of all haulage, documentation, packing and pre shipment services. We have competent management on the ground at load out points to direct the operations and provide effective communication to all involved.
A thorough experience of product compatibility and the limitations of the various ferry routes to Continental Europe and Ireland mean that we can dovetail services to create cost effective multi-modal solutions with prescribed delivery schedules.
We have built up a reputation as being ‘Solution Providers’ in transporting oilfield hazardous materials to the remotest areas of the globe. Furthermore we have a proven track record in securing transportation permits for the transportation of red listed waste and other ‘problem’ cargoes and are often contacted by other freight forwarders for advice.
It is our company policy to provide comprehensive training for all staff that may have even a remote link to a hazardous shipment and in this way we can gradually build up on the job experience for newcomers to the industry. Our training strategy provides for multi-modal cargo transportation by air, sea and road.
Unlike many of our competitors who outsource this responsibility, we also employ our own Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor who is always available to oversee our operations and provide guidance to staff. Through our training and subscription programs we are kept fully informed of the introduction of new or amended regulations.
WELL do not compromise our commitment to safe working under any circumstances.
WELL is focused on understanding our customer requirements and meeting them with innovative and cost effective solutions.
WELL pre-plan the entire operation including the following steps:
- Organising the priority berthing of the vessel at the most suitable berth
- Prior completion of route survey from the terminal to the project site to determine the precautions to be taken & to be aware of the statutory limitations & permissions to be taken by concerned authorities and/or Police in advance to move the cargo as per the project plan.
- Customs documentation prepared in advance and where available pre-approval from customs for clearance or out of hours working.
- Comprehensive Supervision at the time of discharging or loading the cargo on a 24/7 basis
- Arrangement of heavy lift cranes, Low bed trailers, Mafi trailers, dolly trailers for odd dimensional pieces.
- Selection of suitable transportation system & ensuring that required number of trailers with suitable capacity and securing equipment is available and marshalled alongside at the appropriate time.
- Making arrangements for the transshipment vessel or tug and barge, if transshipment by sea is involved for remote site such as in West Africa or alternatively for a third country destination.
- Arranging discharge survey & loading survey for the cargo and lashing supervision.
- Coordination with cargo receivers to ensure that project site is ready to receive the project cargo at destination and assist with ensuring all necessary lifting gear is available.
- Positioning of the project cargo at the site & assisting the receivers to offload the cargo at the site with appropriate, certified lifting gear.
