BTC & SCP Pipeline Construction in Georgia and Azerbaijan for BP Amec-Spie Capag/Petrofac and Gas pipeline construction in Western Georgia for GOGC.

BTC and SCP Pipeline material and equipment transportation, customs clearance, local storage, handling and distribution to installation sites. WELL was nominated by Amec-Spie Capag/Petrofac as a general forwarder for all the construction equipment and materials entering Georgia and Azerbaijan for BTC and SCP pipeline projects fulfilled by BP. Throughout the full duration of the project more than 35 full charter vessels were imported and exported via Port of Poti, Georgia apart from the different containerized and road and air freight shipments. Totally more than 200 000 CBM of different nonstandard and out of gauge cargo was on forwarded by special carriers to more than 8 different destinations within Georgia and Azerbaijan. Services provided by WELL included vessel chartering, rail freight, handling, special permissions, customs clearance, handling and delivery. Financed by US AID (United States Aid for International Development). Services provided: Port operations, transport to destination, permissions, customs clearance and handling at destination. Infrastructure and logistics facilities were in debris in Georgia back then at post-civil war period. Every part of operation starting for receiving vessel at port, discharging cargo, sourcing rail wagons and vehicles, customs clearance, etc. required local knowledge and know-how in conjunction to international logistics experience which WELL successfully implemented by employing local content and international management. WELL was one of amongst few logistics company servicing the project and have delivered on all aspects of scope of work.
